Mr. Morejon brings 25 years of combined experience in the military, medical, consumer and R&D fields. He began his career in the defense industry designing missile guidance and control systems. Later, he founded an engineering design and consulting firm, where he designed ASICs used in digital video encoding and compression, universal dimming controllers for lighting, hearing aids, kidney dialysis systems, robots and the core waveguide technology used in speed guns. During this period, Mr. Morejon caught the attention of a major health care product company for his work in the medical industry. He joined the company and went on to design multi-platform acute care patient monitoring products.
Subsequently he was called to join a multinational design and manufacturing company as a Director in the R&D area, overseeing global product development. Mr. Morejon developed architecture of a diverse group of products including automotive, wireless, storage, computing devices, laptop docking stations, camera modules, PDAs and smart phones. In the Research & Development field, he pioneered the last mile wireless modem technology and optical tomography cancer systems. Later promoted to Chief Technology Director, he developed an LED Rear Projection TV, LED edge emitting LCD Back Light and nanoprojectors.
Currently, Mr. Morejon is President and CEO of LEDnovation, Inc., an innovative technology and product company in the emerging solid state lighting market. Since forming LEDnovation in Q4 2008, he has filed multiple patents in the area of solid state lighting and his company has launched many products into the marketplace. A prolific innovator, Mr. Morejon has over forty patents granted/pending in various technology areas. Mr. Morejon is an engineering graduate from the University of South Florida.
